3.WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE MY HOUSE FOR PAINTING?
Our painting crews protect all your furniture, fixtures, and floor coverings when they prepare the area, however we ask that you clear the room of small items and breakables. We can also move the bigger items for you when we arrive upon request.
4.HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO REPAINT THE INTERIOR OF MY HOME?
Many factors can contribute to that.The quality of the paint used is of the utmost importance.The amount of traffic through a particular area.Whether or not there are smokers in the home.Is there a fireplace that is used on a regular basis during the winter months, and does the damper work properly?How many children and their ages?There are too many factors to take into consideration, and each home can be different. However a good quality job done by a professional crew under normal conditions should last anywhere from 6-10 years. Call us and we will be happy to evaluate your particular situation and offer you a more precise answer.
5.WHAT TYPE OF PAINT DO YOU USE?
We like to pair the paint we use with the job we are doing. Most commonly we use Sherwin-Williams, Benjamin Moore and Pittsburgh Paints for interior painting and Sherwin Williams, Benjamin Moore, Pittsburgh Paints, Sikkens, TWP & Cabots for exterior painting.If there is a different paint brand or type you would like to use, we are more than happy to use that as well. Just ask!
6.DO YOU PROVIDE TOUCH UP PAINT AFTER YOU ARE FINISHED?
We sure do! Once we've completed painting, we provide all the leftover paint for the touch-ups!
7.ARE YOU A LICENSED AND INSURED PAINTING CONTRACTOR?
Yes, our painting company is fully licensed and insured. This means that not only do we carry liability insurance, but we also carry workers' compensation insurance. This isn't only because it is required by the state, but because it protects our work force as well as you, the home owner, because unfortunately, sometimes injuries do happen.
8.HOW LONG DOES A JOB TAKE?
The length of a project varies. Most of the residential painting we do can be completed in less than a week, however we also have jobs which take upwards of two weeks. Commercial painting projects can take longer depending on the size of the building(s). Throughout the entire project, we make sure to keep you very informed of the timeline. If we think the project may take longer than expected, we let you know right away.
9.DO I NEED TO USE A SPECIAL PAINT IN THE BATHROOM AND KITCHEN?
In areas with high amounts of water/humidity or food preparation, we use a mildew-resistant paint which provides a durable, easy-to-clean finish.
10.CAN I LEAVE MY HOME WHILE YOUR PAINTING CREW WORKS?
Certainly! While you are at work or running errands, our crew will be busy prepping and painting your home. All of our job foreman have been with our company for over 15 years and we are fully licensed and insured so you can rest assured your home is safe while you are away!
